There are so many things that are in the world - which we should take care of. One thing that we often forget to be careful of as kids and adults may be the poison ivy plant. This plant seems harmless on the outside and has the ability to blend into its surroundings without us having a second look. Still, it is going to cause a lot of pain once we touch it.
This plant is renowned for causing numerous symptoms that will make us itch, scratch, and cry in pain when it's harsh enough on us. The very first and most popular symptom to look for is the rash. This can spread over the skin which was touched with the urushiol oil inside of the plant.
The skin might become red as well as the rash will be slightly bumpy and extremely itchy. You must apply calamine lotion or have the person take an oatmeal bath. Drying out the skin will actively soothe the itching and help it to heal a great deal faster than attempting other things that may not even actually help.
If the case is a lot more severe than you will also break out in blisters. These might occur over the rash making it even more unbearable. Ensure you do not pop these blisters - but allow them to empty on their own. The same treatments can apply to this. Know that once they burst, the pus is not going to be contagious.
Remember to look at the poison ivy symptoms in kids who have been playing outdoors and bring home fun plants. You want to make sure of the problem instantly so they will start to feel better. Know though that it can take a few days for them to feel anything after coming into contact with the plant.
