Prevent Mold From Growing In Your Home

The home should be regarded as the most dependable place for us and our children. This is not the case for those individuals who take forever to clean their dirty dishes or wash the tons of laundry that has been piling up for days! Tasks like this are a pain - but we have to do them for a good reason.

One of the strongest troubles that might happen from a dirty home is mold. This is a silent trouble that we frequently don’t even think about. This toxic substance flourishes in areas that are damp, dark, and dirty. There are a number of places in a home that it might grow and that you have to learn to keep clean always.

Food

The refrigerator and pantry are the very first things to look at. Go in and take a look at the potatoes or leftovers that have been sitting there for days or even weeks. You see something green and fuzzy? That is toxic green mold and it can be detrimental to your health. Throw the food in the trash when it has reached its expiration date.

Clothes

The next best thing to look at is anyplace you have laundry. I acknowledge that we all have elaborate lives - but when you allow your dirty clothes and wet towels to sit for days at a time you are going to have a problem on your hands. It only takes a few hours for this to start developing on damp clothes.

Be sure to lay any towels or damp clothes out to dry before you throw them in the dirty clothes. Do them when you get home and clean out the laundry basket on a regular basis. You will not see the house mold easily - but it is there.
