Pain Relief For External Hemorrhoids

When it comes to pain external hemorrhoids are just like any other. But where they and how you can spot them are different. True to their name these types of hemorrhoids will take place around the anus and can be identified by the tender and fleshy growth that will appear.

There are some basic at home external hemorrhoid treatments that could make your life a whole lot easier and to help dull the pain. These are inexpensive and are sure to cure at least some of the discomfort.

Lukewarm Bath

This remedy only requires a bathtub that you can sit in for 15 minutes in order to soak the area affected in warm water. You may want to do this at least once a day. To make sure that the hemorrhoid does not cause further itching and irritation make sure to thoroughly dry the area.

Ice Packs

All you need to do is wrap a few ice cubes in a soft cloth and gently apply to the affected area. Take it off after about a minute and than place it back on after another minute. Do this until the pain is dulled.

Cushions

This is needed for people whose work requires them to sit down for long periods of time. The pressure on the vein can increase pain - but the cushion can help to relieve some of that pressure.

Water And Fiber

Having a hard time trying to pass stools is not going to improve your external hemorrhoids - but could instead worsen the symptoms. Drink lots of water and increase the amount of fiber that is in your diet. These combined will help to regulate your digestive system and make it easier for you.
