Learn What Causes Type 1 Diabetes

There are times when our bodies do not want to respond the way that it should be. A body that is unresponsive will cause problems that could be minor or major. Diabetes is one of the most common diseases that could affect the way that we live in a most dramatic way.

Diabetes is something that we will ever have to deal with. For some of us we think that it is one of the most minor diseases that someone needs to deal with - but in reality it is a very real and in some cases very dangerous disease.

Type 1 and type 2 diabetes are the two main types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes affects children more than adults and is also called juvenile diabetes. During this disease the pancreas is not able to produce the hormone insulin. Without insulin the bodies’ immune system will start to destroy the cells in the pancreas rendering them completely useless.

Researchers have not been able to determine what causes type 1 diabetes. Because the cause is unknown there is not way for people to prevent it. It can strike at someone without them suspecting it even if they have a healthy lifestyle. Type 1 diabetes is a disease that once you are diagnosed with it you will have to live with it and treat it for the remainder of your life.
