Help Protect Your Body With Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

During the end of the 19th century many people were using extra virgin coconut oil in many of the meals that they cooked. It was the main type of oil that was used until something changed. New types of oils that contained different types of fat became the next big thing and was considered healthy in certain ways. But were they?

Now a days it is common for many of us to consume saturated fats. This type of fat can be found in almost all of the foods that we purchase and consume including many of the oils that we use. Unfortunately it is one of the biggest health risks that we make because it causes us to become overweight and can create other health risks.

But now people are trying to get back on track and find ways to lose weight and be healthy again. Extra virgin coconut oil can help to reduce cholesterol, lose weight, cure infections, and help us to overcome even the most harmful of diseases.

Back in 1981 a health research team studied several people on an island where they consumed large amounts of coconut oil. These people had healthy skin, hair, and overall no problems at all. When these people were moved to New Zealand their cholesterol increased.

During the 1940’s farmers had experimented with coconut oil hoping that it would help their animals to gain weight. They soon discovered that this special oil had quite the opposite effect that they were looking for. They quickly changed their diet to avoid them from losing anymore weight.

Lim-Sylianco published a 50 year review in 1987 proving that coconut oil could help to fight off cancer. Cancers that were chemically induced in the breast and colon were protected by the coconut oil more than unsaturated oils. 32% who consumed corn oil were diagnosed with colon cancer. 3% that consumed coconut oil were diagnosed with the same thing.

More recently is the coconut diet that has been created and also used by many celebrities. The special antioxidants that they contain works to jumpstart our metabolism - which in turn helps us to burn fat and lose weight. Using coconut oil with special foods and exercise could help us to lose those extra pounds that have been holding us back.
