Venereal Warts And Symptoms

Venereal warts - also known as genital warts - affect the tissue surrounding the genital area. They are small, flesh colored bumps and may only be 1 millimeter in diameter. They can sometimes multiply and form large clusters.

Venereal warts in women will grown on the vulva - the walls of the vagina - as well as the cervix. Venereal warts in men can occur on the tip of the penis as well as the scrotum of the anus. They can also develop in the throat and mouth of someone who has had oral sexual contact with someone who has been infected.

These warts can be treated with surgery and medications - but despite this they are still a serious health concern. The human papillomavirus (HPV) is what causes this type of warts. It is also connected to types of genital cancers.

Symptoms of Venereal Warts

Itching or discomfort in your genital area
Bleeding with intercourse

Not everyone will experience symptoms because they may be too small and flat to even be seen. It is possible for someone who is pregnant to trigger an infection that was dormant and it might make an already existent infection worse.
