One of the most common medical conditions is asthma. Unlike many other types of diseases it is not known what things can cause this. Researchers believe that it might be hereditary or caused by specific environmental exposures that can cause it to develop early in life.
Common Asthma Causes Are:
Parents have asthma
Relatives or parents who have a tendency to develop several allergies - which is known as atopy.
Having certain respiratory infections as a young child
Coming into contact with allergens that are airborn
Being exposed to viral infections while an infant or in the early stages of childhood when the immune system is not yet fully developed.
Studies show that the majority of people whose family members suffer from asthma will have some type of reaction to many airborne allergens including; cockroaches, tobacco smoke, dust mites, cat and dog dander.
