Those who do not have 20/20 vision find themselves needing to see and read certain things with the help of expensive eyewear. There is a way to loosen your dependency on these and to fix your vision. All you need is to undergo LASIK eye surgery.
LASIK stands for Laser Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis and is used to permanently chance the shape of a person’s cornea. During the procedure a mechanical microkeratome - which is a bladed device - or a laser keratome - which is a laser device - is used to cut a slap in the cornea in the eye. The surgeon will leave one end of the flap - which is then folded back revealing the stroma. The stroma is the middle section of the cornea.
Surgeons will then fold back the flap to reveal the stroma and the middle section on the cornea. Pulses that come from the computer controlled laser will vaporize a portion of the stroma before the flap is replaced.
